He arrived in the dead of winter, and the thermometer in the intake hallway hasn't quite read correctly since.

Pale blue from head to toe, he stood on the intake table with his arms slightly raised — not in surrender, not in welcome, but in the particular way of someone who has been cold for so long they've simply stopped noticing. His hair is silver-white and loose, catching the light like the first frost on a windowpane. He was already wearing the red scarf when he came in. Nobody gave it to him. He does not take it off.

They call him Frost.

His eyes are snowflakes — delicate, white, and completely unique, which the staff find either poetic or unsettling depending on the shift. The small snowflake charms he wears at his heart are the only thing he arrived with besides the scarf, held close like a keepsake from somewhere he doesn't talk about.

He stands when the others sit. He faces forward when the others look away. There is a stillness to him that isn't emptiness — it's the stillness of deep winter, which is never truly quiet, only waiting.

The red scarf is the detail that stays with you. All that cool, pale blue, and then — that. A single streak of warmth he refuses to let go of.

Condition: Handmade. One of a kind. Temperament: Composed. Quietly fierce. Warmer than he appears once you earn it. Special Notes: The temperature near his intake shelf does seem slightly lower than the rest of the ward. Facilities has been unable to explain this.

Winter always ends. He's simply waiting for someone patient enough to see it through with him.

Once bonded, separation is discouraged.
