Arms out, feet planted, the full electric green of him filling the intake doorway like something that had been compressed for a very long time and had finally found sufficient space to expand into. The stitched X eyes — intense, focused, carrying the specific energy of someone who has a grievance that is both valid and ongoing — fixed immediately on the nearest staff member and did not let go.

They call him Volt.

He is the green of a live wire — not the patient green of Lichen or the joyful green of Briar or even the chaotic green of Spite, but the green of something carrying current. Charged. The kind of color that hums at a frequency slightly above comfortable and makes the hair on your arms stand up if you get too close without proper introduction.

The black chest panel is his most architectural feature — a dark oval set into all that lime, anchored by a single small green button at its center like a control panel with one very important switch. What it operates is unclear. The staff have not pressed it. They feel this is probably wise.

His face is a full record of his interior life — stitched lines running across features that are doing several things simultaneously, none of them subtle, all of them genuine. He is not a creature who conceals. He is a creature who broadcasts.
