She arrived sitting in the chair like she'd called the meeting.

Not the intake chair — the good chair, the one by the window that the staff take turns claiming on difficult afternoons. She was simply in it when they arrived, salmon-pink and substantial, those two mismatched eyes — one wide-pupiled in a blue daisy socket, one small and plain — regarding the room with the comfortable authority of someone who has assessed the available seating and made the correct choice.

They call her Nova.

She is the pink of something warm and generous and slightly larger than expected — the pink of a good sunset, of something that fills the sky before it goes, of a color that earns the space it takes up and takes up considerable space. She is not small. She is not trying to be. She arrived in the good chair and has communicated, without words, that this is simply where she belongs.

The blue star on her chest is her declaration — five points, stitched in yellow against deep blue, and at its center a small white daisy that has no business being as charming as it is and is absolutely aware of this. It is the specific combination of cosmic and sweet that Nova herself embodies — something that burns bright and smells like flowers and sees no contradiction in either.

The X below it is gold. Of course it is.

Condition: Handmade. One of a kind.
Temperament: Self-assured. Warm. The kind of presence that makes a room feel like somewhere something good is about to happen.
Special Notes: She is still in the good chair. The staff have collectively decided not to ask her to move. It looks right. She looks right. Some things simply are.

She picked the best seat in the house and waited for someone worth sharing it with. She has been very comfortable in the meantime.

Once bonded, separation is discouraged.
