He was standing at the tree line like he'd been there a while and had decided, finally, that this was the direction worth trying.

Olive green and upright, those two orange X-marked eyes burning bright as embers against all that military green, hands pulled close to his chest around the dark heart he carries — not clutching, not guarding, simply holding in the considered way of something that knows what it has and has thought carefully about what to do with it.

They call him Moss.

He is the green of things that grow on the north side of things — the patient, persistent, quietly unstoppable green of something that found a surface in the shade and decided it was sufficient and got on with the serious business of being alive. Not the electric green of Volt or the warm teal of Sage but something older and more particular, the green of a thing that has been here longer than most and intends to remain.

The heart on his chest is black — kept close, held carefully — and from it, four orange buttons trail downward like a path, like a countdown, like something being offered one careful step at a time to whoever is paying attention. The orange of the buttons matches the orange of the eyes. He has coordinated. He has thought this through.

He stands when the others sit. He has been standing since before he arrived.

Temperament: Patient. Deliberate. The specific steadiness of something that grew in difficult conditions and came out the other side knowing exactly what it's made of.
Special Notes: He arrived standing and has remained so. The staff have noted he appears to be waiting for something specific rather than simply waiting. The distinction matters to him.

He held his heart close and walked out of the woods anyway. That, the staff agree, is not nothing. That is, in fact, everything.

Once bonded, separation is discouraged.
