She had her arms up before anyone asked.

Not in surrender. Not in greeting. In the specific, committed way of someone who has decided that halfway is not a position she recognizes and has raised them as high as they go and intends to keep them there until the situation resolves itself in her favor. The two dark pigtails flanking her face contributed significantly to the overall effect. The mismatched eyes — one red, one white, both entirely certain — completed it.

They call her Havoc.

She is the same deep charcoal as Pip and Bloom and the others who came from the woods, which the staff are now treating as a family resemblance rather than a coincidence. But where Pip is compact and Bloom is settled, Havoc is animated — the same dark material arranged into something that gives the strong impression of being in the middle of something at all times, even when sitting perfectly still, which she rarely does for long.

The heart on her chest is the centerpiece of an already considerable composition — red, dripping at the edges in the way of something that has simply overflowed its own borders and has made its peace with that, stitched across with white in a jagged pattern that is not damage but emphasis. It is the most emphatic heart in the ward. It belongs to the most emphatic resident. The staff find this entirely appropriate.

The stitched mouth below it is pulled wide. It is not a smile exactly. It is an announcement.

Temperament: Uncontainable. Wholehearted. The specific energy of something that decided a long time ago that full commitment was the only speed worth traveling at.
Special Notes: Arms still up. Staff have stopped asking. She will put them down when she is ready and for no other reason.

She came in with her whole heart and both arms raised. She is simply waiting for someone brave enough to meet her there.

Once bonded, separation is discouraged.
